Interestingly, I read recently that Whites since the great recession have lost an average of ~10-15% of their household net worth. In this same time frame Black families have lost ~44%, and Latinos ~22-27% of their household net worth. Since the data comes up until late last year it seems to me like the current administration has not done much to help out the struggling minority fractions, despite what the Republicans might think. I do not see why we are not screaming to the Obama administration that the lower middle class is fast becoming a poverty classification that will only be a bigger and bigger drag on the economy. We need far more and better paying jobs that the lower middle class can get and secure for their futures, and their kids futures. I would not have thought that Obama would have let these two groups suffer so dis-proportionately, for so long a period. After all we all voted for him to have more "hope and change" than has been allotted by previous administrations. Maybe I am losing a little faith in the man.
