You're right, I for one don't.
Ignorant people, for whatever reason, can't read the writing on the wall. DX is dying.
In 2014 it will either be sold off or spinned off. Both will have major consequences. Both will also have major layoffs and definite site closures.
The Senior Management has finally conceded all three platforms: Vista, Centaur and Immulite are doing horribly and kit recalls and backorders are killing what's left of the business. No point to lie anymore when everyone see's the light coming through the tunnel.
I don't know if they have a buyer or even if they could find one for diagnostics. It's a mess and most won't want it.
Actually, it's an $11B mess, much of which Siemens will have to swallow the loss.
Labs and Hospitals, QUEST and Kaiser, are just two of many dumping their platforms. Roche is, once again, cleaning up.
HR keeps reiterating Siemens isn't selling Diagnostics but his boss, JK, is not backing him up in any interview or publication.
Reminds me of Loescher and Kaiser in many respects before Loescher was tossed out.
So, be angry all you want my friend. But be angry towards the ones who screwed up what was once a good investment and business.
