BTW, I was at DPC when the Versacell (it wasn't called that at the time) was developed, and the original engineering and design was done by an American outfit. Most of it was made from commercial parts, but it definitely wasn't a Japanese robot. None of this has any bearing at all regarding its efficacy, I've been gone too long to be able to judge the current state of the design.
